I'm a cook and spend most of the day standing with some walking. I also spend a lot of time washing pans and sometimes cleaning equipment which results in my shoes getting soaked in water and detergents. Because these shoes aren't held together by glue there is no separation of the sole from the shoe, which was a problem before with other work shoes exposed to wet conditions. These shoes are excellent in prevent slipping on wet or oily floors. The rubber makes these waterproof, easy to clean, and shows practically no wear. For the price I paid, I'm very happy that I have shoes that are durable, breathable, and comfortable with a removable insert.I normally wear a women's 9.5 Wide but went with a size 10 since there are no half sizes available. I was concern with back heal area being lower, but my heals are covered and my feet don't slip out. The only drawback is that the shoe comes up high on the arch. If I had to do a lot of walking (like a restaurant server), they would be pushing into my arch making it uncomfortable to wear for an entire shift.
