Little Hollywood Georgia is known as “little Hollywood” as there are many films made here. Most films made in Georgia that have a rat or mouse in them come from MiceDirect. We provide future actor rodents to a few Georgia animal trainers. Our rodents have appeared in many films including Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, the Ozark Series, Containment and have even appeared in Dolly Parton’s Christmas of many Colors. The most noteworthy film was Marvels Avenger: End Game where one of our rats pushed a critical reset button and became known to the internet as "the rat who saved the world" and “the most powerful Avenger.” Even more interesting is that the same rat that appeared in End Game appeared in more than one movie. Our little guy co-starred with Daniela Melchior in Suicide Squad as Sebastian and Director James Gunn named him Crisp Rat off set. Gunn called Chris Pratt and asked his permission and Chris loved it. My friend started collecting corn snakes and purchasing mice for a hobby and included me in his love for snakes. He showed me a 10x10 shed of mice he was breeding to feed the growing collection. I saw a need for a larger supplier for reptile feed in the industry. I approached Heath and asked him if he wanted to take this to the next level and he enthusiastically said, "yes!" So, we built our first rodent house that was about 3500 square feet. Our friends, family and our small community all thought we were crazy. Over two decades later, we are still doing what we love. And now, MiceDirect is so much more than just mice. We raise some of the best & rarest colubrids in the world, beautiful terrariums and micro-terrariums, exquisite collector bugs, common and rare terrarium plants, all sorts of feeder bugs and insects and so much more.
